This Synthesizer was my first "real" keyboard.  Very nice rompler with 1,024, quite tweakable presets.  The EX5 provided the bass, organs, and other strange things in a majority of Cloud Miner songs up until Translucinator, when the MS2000 was used in a bass role (among other sounds) for many of the songs.  The EX5 is still the workhorse synth due to its polyphony and other strengths befitting a master control keyboard (onboard 16-track sequencer, advanced arpeggio, etc.).  The performance mode is particularly of interest for MIDI.
